The Faculty are esteemed scholars and researchers, and Masters in the Field

Core Instructors:

David A. Gibson

David Gibson is a leading scholar in the field of Sound Healing and Therapy. He is the founder and director of the Globe Sound and Consciousness Institute in San Francisco. His book, “The Complete Guide to Sound Healing,” is one of the top selling books in the field. The book explains how to use sound for physical healing, brainwave entrainment, releasing stuck emotions, opening the heart, and connecting to Spirit. David is also one of the top selling producers of Sound Healing music with over 50 CD’s, and runs the Sound Therapy Center at the Institute offering over 15 types of sound healing treatments. He is also the founder and Conference Coordinator of the World Sound Healing Conferences (now Globe Sound Healing Conference) and has put on 3 International Conferences. He has produced 9 Sound Healing concerts – 3 of them with full 3D projection with 3D glasses for everyone in the audience.

David has been studying esoteric systems of sound healing for over 15 years and has an in-depth understanding of the underlying physics of sound. David’s education in Physics at the University of California at Berkeley gives him a unique understanding of the way that sound affects us physically. David has been exploring the use of binaural beats for brainwave entrainment for over 10 years and has over 30 CD’s that incorporate brain enhancing frequencies in the music. David has come up with 9 techniques for releasing stuck emotions and deep emotional issues with sound and has been using these techniques in the classroom and therapy center for over 8 years. David has also been teaching a class on the Sound of Love at the Institute for 8 years. Through this class, David has come up with a full range of powerful techniques for opening the heart and connecting to spirit using sound and music as catalysts. He has also come up with a detailed array of sounds for bringing a person into gratitude, compassion, Universal Love and joy.

David began as a Professional Recording Engineer. He has been teaching, engineering and producing groups in major studios since 1982. David is also the author of the best selling book, “The Art of Mixing” that uses visuals to explain and show every style of mix in the world, which makes complex structures of mixes easily understandable. His second book, “The Art of Producing,” uses the visual framework for displaying sounds to explain Music Theory. Gibson is also the inventor of the Patented, “Virtual Mixer,” which uses 3D visuals of the mix to control mixing consoles and computerized mixers.

David is currently working on a Virtual Reality system where you can step into an image of your own body and be able to place visuals of sounds inside the body in 3D. The visuals will then move sounds up and down in a Sound Table so you feel the sounds inside the body exactly where you are seeing the visuals.

David’s mission is to bring Sound and Energy Healing into the mainstream (and hospitals). In order to do this he has setup the Sound Healing Research Foundation, and has also created plays and movies to help educate the general public.

Craig Godfrey

Music has been a lifelong passion for Craig Godfrey. His earliest memories are dancing to his parents’ records, discovering piano and feeling the rhythms of New Orleans and Brazil coursing through his body. All through his teens and twenties he played in bands and wrote music while concentrating his efforts on developing as a guitarist, singer, songwriter and performer.

Eventually his passion led him from performing in Austin, TX to California to study and develop a career. He attended the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA where he graduated with honors in the Professional Guitar track as well as in the Recording Artist Program. Following a few years of gigging around LA, recording and creating music, Craig discovered the Globe Institute in San Francisco and became certified in Psychoacoustics as well. Having fallen in love with his parents’ psychoacoustic tapes from the late 70’s, the Institute provided an opportunity to satisfy a deep curiosity and truly expand his perspective and tool set. He was feng shui advisor for Esalen Institute’s sustainability plan, and design consultant for Grace Cathedral’s labyrinths in San Francisco, the first permanent replicas of the Chartres Cathedral labyrinth in an American church. He was one of the first people in America to talk about walking labyrinths for spiritual development and to develop techniques to lay them out on the ground – starting way back in the early 1980’s. He conducted the seminal study of the benefits of walking labyrinths at the West Coast Conference of the American Society of Dowsers at UC Santa Cruz from 1986 to 1989.

Richard is on the faculty at the Globe Sound & Consciousness Institute in San Francisco and the Golden Gate Feng Shui School in Oakland. He previously taught in the EcoDwelling program at New College of California, and led sacred geometry tours at Chartres Cathedral in France.

He originally trained and worked as an architect, but then moved on to explore spiritual development through metaphysics, shamanism, Earth Mysteries, and Goddess religions. As a result, he was ordained as a priest in the feminist Faerie Tradition and a minister in a Mystical Christian order.

Introduced to geomantic wisdom in childhood, he continued his studies in Feng Shui with the late Grandmaster Lin Yun, Rinpoche, the lineage holder of Tibetan Tantric Buddhist feng shui largely responsible for bringing feng shui into the mainstream in the western world; in sacred architecture with Dr. Keith Critchlow, Professor Emeritus of the Prince of Wales Institute of Architecture, who is regarded as one of the greatest living masters of sacred architecture, sacred geometry, Islamic sacred art and the Platonic-Pythagorean Mystery School teachings; and in Earth Mysteries with the world’s leading experts, especially the researchers of the pre-eminent Dragon Project in the U.K.

Stuart Grace Greene

Stuart Grace Greene is a biophysicist, originally trained in physics, his passion has always been the exploration of human consciousness. In the 1970s, before the fusion of science and spirituality became popular in our culture, Stuart lived and trained in a Zen Buddhist community – believing that the study of science and the distillation of the spirit were convergent paths towards the same essential unity. Stuart also ran a school where he taught an in-depth program of “Visionary Healing” combining subtle manual therapies with biological, bioenergetic, and psycho-spiritual healing work.

After years of exploring subtle energy phenomena, Stuart discovered a similarly subtle level of biology in the research of Antoine Béchamp, Günther Enderlein, Royal Rife, and others. He was inspired by these great scientists, but mindful of the fact that their theories (which reached as far back as the mid-1800s) needed to be revised in light of modern understanding of molecular, cellular, genetic, and evolutionary biology. The resulting synthesis of ideas forms the core of the new science of health called EcoBiotics.
