“Qompassion” tells the story of the earth — its origin, present, and two possible futures: Its destruction through the quest for power, or renewal through understanding and forgiveness.
The story has been written and produced with one primary consideration: to become the largest drawing hit production of all time in a major city – a production that is unique and stands out above the crowd. We have taken the formula that has worked so well in Las Vegas and taken it to a whole new level of entertainment. Using synchronized sound, light, and Virtual Reality experiences with a touching story we have created a new generation of transformational entertainment for the mass audience.
This production is more than just a Spectacle. The play utilizes well-known techniques in creative ways for opening the hearts of the participants. And, it incorporates a simple story that everyone on the planet can relate to (especially in these times). It is a story about saving the earth, and dealing with all of the negativity on the earth in a way that doesn’t perpetuate the continuation of the vicious cycle of revenge so common on this earth. However, we have been extremely careful to put this message across in a way that could never be perceived as preachy, religious, moralistic, sanctimonious, or self-righteous in any way. The key components that will make this play a success are:
1) Ultimate Spectacle –
a) Magnificently choreographed talent – Professional dance and acrobatics that audiences have come to expect and love from a Las Vegas show.
b) Over the top lighting and visuals – Also as expected.
c) 3D visuals displayed in a way that have never been shown before. Also, actors and performers interacting with the 3D visuals in totally unique ways.
d) Personal Virtual Reality experience utilizing the 3D visuals.
e) Multiple low frequency transducers in each seat in the auditorium. Not so much to shock the participants, but to massage them internally.
2) Deep Emotion –
If you can touch someone’s heart in a sincere way with out being too Disney-esque, people will respond and remember the show more than one of pure spectacle. This show utilizes some techniques that include:
a) Use of archetypal images that affect people on a deep emotional level – Earth, Mother Earth, Babies, pure unadulterated children.
b) Use of pure emotions that affect us all – Love, Caring, Forgiveness and Compassion.
c) Use of well-known theatrical techniques to illicit real emotions in the audience.
3) Intriguing Story –
The key is to create a story that is easy to follow, that is not too heavy or intellectual, and most importantly – a story that makes people think about their own life. This is a story that could actually change a person’s life.
The Spectacle aspect of the show will enthrall those wanting to be dazzled and amazed. Those wanting something deeper will be engaged mentally and touched emotionally. And, the story will unexpectedly intrigue everyone and make them ponder for days. But the show goes even further in that it will actually affect them physically (with subwoofers in each seat), has the potential to light someone up spiritually regardless of their predilection.
All of these components will make them want to come back over and over, and most importantly, they will be telling everyone, “You’ve just got to see this show.”
The Story – Short Version
The show starts with a baby being born on stage in a beautiful nature scene. This baby personifies the earth. As the Earth Character grows up he meets the Queen of the Elements and they fall in love. This perfect union is destroyed by a Dark Character (representing mind disconnected from spirit) as he kills the Queen of the Elements. The rest of the story is about the Earth Character making the decision to wield compassion instead of revenge as he sees the light within the Dark Character being the same as his own. Their two lights join together and float up in front of each audience member. As they divide into multiple vertical lights each audience member feels a corresponding sound move up and down their spine from speakers mounted in each chair. The lights then merge into one huge sphere with the earth inside and this sphere comes back down to the stage and reincarnates into the Queen of the Elements. There is a huge celebration with a spectacular 3D light show. The earth is healed as the power of love replaces the love of power.
