The PrayerSong Process
Birthing Your Emergent Self into Being Through the Healing Power of Song

Gary Malkin

“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”- Brené Brown

For time immemorial, indigenous cultures have been using the power of the human voice to express, align, and direct their positive intentions to create a more fulfilling, Spirit-directed life. We have always held within us the innate power to identify, express, and transmit our innermost prayers through our singing voices, but many people are unfortunately fearful of sharing their voice publicly. Most people incorrectly associate public singing with a presumption that one needs to “perform” as a trained professional rather than allowing oneself to experience the beauty of sharing one’s voice with an open-hearted vulnerability and humanity, for healing and connection. As a result, our innate birthright to use one’s voice to be human together, to share our common dreams and fears, or to affirm the life we want for ourselves is rarely experienced.

In order to awaken the unfolding of our emergence through the power of song, this highly interactive workshop offers a transformational process that provides a safe container to identify and feel the “you’ that’s ready to emerge in your life at this time. After ‘receiving’ your very own self-affirming prayer, you’ll be guided to set this prayer into a PrayerSong. When done in a group context, this empowering musical prayer is then sung by the entire group directly to you, providing a poignant process that can accelerate your prayer into reality.

The PrayerSong Process offers a profoundly touching experience that provides a safe space to harness the ‘fruit’ that comes from our deep inner listening into a felt sense of meaning, purpose and connection to the things that matter most.

“After experiencing Gary Malkin’s PrayerSong Process, I’m convinced that Gary is an angel on earth! Using his gifts and talents to help each person clarify their core purpose, each of us created our own chant that was sung to us by the whole group… transforming us into our illuminated angelic selves and moving each of us to tears.   You’re going to be blown away! “ Rikka Zimmerman, Acclaimed Spiritual Teacher

The Future of Sound
in the Medical Field and In Consciousness

David Gibson

Things are starting to change.  The medical field is beginning to accept Sound Healing.  It is in just about every Integrative Therapy Department in major hospitals around the country.  How can we help mold the field so that we can take our power back and heal ourselves and each other once again.  What is the new template for hospitals?

But even more importantly, when we can access higher energies where “all is known” then we can not only heal we can access whole other states of consciousness where we are in bliss with profound deep peace and knowing.

Just imagine.

“Healing Yourself with Your Voice
Lisa Rafel

We all know the powerful impact audible musical sound has on our body. It is unmistakable when we feel ourselves entrain to rhythm in a song, or to a chant. We feel it drumming, and singing … we can feel how music flows through us. And how music can capture our mind and stop random thinking.

The audible sound of your own voice can be just as powerful. Whether in a group or alone, the power of your “sounding” your voice can directly impact your life.

In Healing Yourself With Your Voice you will be using your voice on yourself.

Using techniques from my programs, Vocal Sound Healing™ and from The Five Worlds™ you will learn how to hear and make sounds that can integrate mind, body and spirit.

In this workshop:

  • You will learn how to become an instrument of self-healing.
  • You will be making sounds to support physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
  • You will experience how breath, deep listening and ways of making specific sounds can connect you to your “higher” self.
  • You will leave with practices that can center you, calm you, and create more flow in your body.

Beyond Listening Programs for Learning Disabilities
Elizabeth Grambsch

The work of Dr. Alfred Tomatis and many others who have developed listening programs using electronically delivered psychoacoustically modified music has helped many children and adults with a variety of performance and learning difficulties. With so many children and adults experiencing benefit from the listening programs it is clear Tomatis’s underlying principles and concepts are valid but there are people who do not benefit from listening to the electronic music and instead need a practitioner who can guide them through a healing process beyond listening programs.

This presentation will explore why listening programs are not right for everyone by taking a deeper look at the auditory nerve and its relationship to the other cranial nerves, the psychophysiological aspects of listening in the context of different external environments and how the sound therapist can help those with birth trauma, concussion and more in ways a listening program is not able to.

What Does the Future of Healthcare Sound Like?
Music and Sound innovations to
Enhance the Humane Dimensions of Care

Gary Malkin

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.”   -Nikola Tesla

Vibrations are known as the common denominator of the universe. From the tiniest quark to the largest galaxies in the universe, all things are in constant motion, all at different rates of vibration. The very first sense we humans develop, in utero, is our listening sense. Remarkably, on the other end of life’s spectrum, our hearing sense is the very last sense to go before we die. This suggests that vibrations – and our ability to be affected by them- can serve a meaningful role to keep us vital throughout our lives.

Have we fully explored how vibrational frequencies could best be harnessed for our health and well-being? Has healthcare embraced vibrational strategies to improve our mood, elicit compassion, alleviate physiological and emotional pain, or help us to bond with new life or assimilate the devastating effects of loss?

Human beings have been harnessing the immersive power of music for just these purposes for thousands of years, sculpting vibrational frequencies into sonic experiences that create life-generating outcomes to address all kinds of psychophysiological, emotional and spiritual imbalances, many of which are now considered stressful precursors to dis-ease.

Music and sound modalities can beneficially shift our energetic field at the cellular level, affecting our bio-chemistry, reducing stress, activating “heart-coherence” and reducing multiple forms of suffering associated with pain and trauma. When skillfully integrated with state-of-the-art medical care, sensitively designed musical strategies can connect us to the part of us that is distinctly human. Music can lessen our physiological, emotional, and even spiritual pain. Fully recognizing the potential outcomes of this non-pharmaceutical modality can offer profound catalysts for enhancing the humane dimensions of healthcare.

When integrating both individual and environmental musical strategies within a healthcare system, we can provide accelerated pathways to enhance the mind/body/heart connection for healthcare communities. A growing body of evidence shows that these multi-sensory modalities can people to become more buoyant, resilient, and compassionate when intense challenges emerge. They can enhance states of mindful flow, critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills sets. All of these benefits can lead to an acceleration of the patient’s speed of recovery, increasing patient satisfaction and ultimately leading to likely financial benefits for both patients and healthcare systems.

Join Emmy award-winning media composer, performer, and music and healing advocate Gary Malkin in an interactive presentation that will convince you why integrating these musical strategies is becoming a refreshing imperative for any individual or organization who seeks to provide the most innovative and humane practices for 21st century healthcare organizations and institutions.

Sound is in just about every Integrative Therapy Department in hospitals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.  Just about every major hospital in large cities are now using Sound Healing and Therapy.

The next step is to get Sound into the medical side of hospitals, and doctors are now more open than ever.  Doctors themselves are now becoming more aware of the lack of effectiveness and severe problems that certain medical treatments create.

They are seeing the effects of specific frequencies, timbres, intervals and musical flows on specific parts and systems in the body.  With research like that done by Anthony Holland where he shows 4 different types of cancer being destroyed by 4 different sets of frequencies, it is becoming clear that there are profound possibilities around vibration.

David Gibson has setup the “Sound Medicine Association” to work with doctors to create detailed treatment plans and safety guidelines for using sound and vibration.

We look at all of the possibilities and explore the path to getting full acceptance of sound in hospitals — Medical treatments that are inexpensive, effective, and won’t kill you!

Why Energy Medicine and Sound Healing is Needed Today

Karl Maret, MD, M.Eng

Energy Medicine, including sound healing, is now a recognized component of Integrative Medicine by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). In this lectures Dr. Maret will give a brief overview of energy medicine from ancient times to today’s renaissance of energy healing modalities giving examples of practical applications in both diagnosis and treatment that may become part of tomorrow’s health care. At the same time there is growing concern of the proliferation of electromagnetic radiation and microwave pollution that is increasing affecting everyone. Neurological degenerative diseases are now the fastest growing cause of morbidity and mortality in older people, with especially women being affected. Energy medicine and sound healing appear to offer powerful tools to assist our current health care crises.

Activating Portals of Consciousness
Silvina Vergara

This sound healing workshop will explore the various portals of the subtle energy  circuits within our  body which enable us to navigate the subconscious mind in order to elevate  consciousness . We will learn how to utilize frequencies of sound to experience vibrational accord with our higher self with ultimate goal to increase awareness .

Working with  the pineal gland will teach how to open a portal to our higher mind and to experience  the inner ladder of consciousness.  By tapping into a multidimensional bands of higher frequencies we can access a profound connection to our true essence.

In addition We will practice  Alchemical meditation focusing on the endocrine glands and the Cerebral Spinal fluid that has a vital role in the elevation of consciousness by providing information to the brain. We will also be accessing different frequencies in the body, and allowing a pathway for transformation at the cellular level.  This unlocks our internal wisdom stored deep in our DNA

In summary,we will learn to listen to our inner resonance, illuminate our path of Self awareness,  process our shadow, and increase activation of the life force which expands our consciousness. Finally, we will practice being resonant with the presence of inner sound   so as to create an  harmonic awareness of profound universal love.

Embracing the light and shadow within, shifting and evolving, we all can contribute to lighting up Humanity.

Silvina Vergara channels melodies that transport and guide participants on a “Healing Journey by Transmission,” utilizing sound as vehicle to communicate.

Sound, Crystals, Water, & Sacred Geometry: Consciousness Revealed
John St. Claire

Human bodies are 60% to 70% water by volume but are 99% water by number of molecules.  Luc Montagnier, who won the Noble Prize for discovering the AIDs virus, has demonstrated that information can be stored in structured water, and this information can inform our DNA.

For over 10 years I’ve used sound, crystals, and sacred geometry in my practice to transform a wide variety of human conditions.  The incredible success of these methods led me to the California Institute for Human Science where I have been studying the mechanism underlying these results.

I propose that information may be stored electromagnetically in the hexagonal rings of the atomic lattice of both quartz crystals and the hexagonal rings of structured water, which exists in every living cell.   I’ll present the results of my studies, demonstrate how it relates to Professor Montagnier’s work, and how this guides my practice.

Spectral analysis of recordings after using Tibetan bowls on 40 clients showed that information was stored in the bowls, which changed the sound in specific, measurable ways.  That information could be erased, which created a more harmoniously pleasing quality to the sound, that was objectively measured.

Based on my studies with Marcel Vogel, I developed a unique protocol for storing information in quartz crystals and have made statistically significant measurements of various methods to erase that information.  I propose a new theory on how information may be stored in the atomic crystalline structure.

The hexagonal rings of both crystals and cellular water are analogous to self similar fractal antennas.  This structure may point to a mechanism for the transmission and reception of subtle energy information.  Could the structure of the water in our cells be a fractal antenna to cosmic consciousness?

I believe I have developed a method to delete information stored in the water comprising 99% of our molecules, restoring them to their natural state.  In this natural state, we feel deep inner peace and connected with our life purpose.  As a side effect, people often look 10 years younger and persistent uncomfortable physical conditions may change significantly or disappear entirely.

Come and learn the whole protocol.

In the United States alone, we have on call day and night nearly 4 million First Responders. For the sake of these discussions we are including from the 911 Operators, Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS and Emergency Room Staff.  These are the people the answer the call for service on our worst and darkest days. We rely on them in the best and also in the most inclement of weather. They answer our calls on holidays, children’s birthdays, disasters and inconvenient times. The common thread that weaves through the extraordinary individuals is their willingness to serve our communities, for minimal or no pay at all, to bear witness to and to assist in mitigating the carnage and pain, suffering and illness that are the bain of the human existence.

Edward Rupert is a Psychotherapist with First Responder Trauma Counselors, (FRTC), who is a Co-Founder of this organization that provided behavioral health for over 3800 first responders and their families. With FRTC’s team of therapists they are continuously searching for techniques and technologies, that will mitigate the cumulative effect on the conveyor of trauma the plaques the brave women and men of First Response. Ed will be discussing the help sound healing has been providing this population group. Ed’s anecdotal evidence will be part of a larger research study facilitated by Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Voice as a Teaching and Therapeutic Tool

Suzanne Sterling

Your Voice Matters

Your Voice is Medicine

One of the most important tools we possess is our vocabulary and our unique voice.  It is time for our voices to be used in the service of healing and change.  But so many of us are terrified of our authentic voice that we bury it, silence it and cover it up.  What if we trusted our vessel and courageously gave ourselves permission to live and speak our truth?  What if the world was calling us to become voices of change?  What if our voice was necessary for the healing of our world?

Our bodies hold trauma and our voice is one of the most powerful ways to both release trauma and to regulate our nervous systems.  In these intense times we can use our voices to shift and transform anxiety…we can tap into and utilize the inherent wisdom of our bodies and voices to calm our nervous systems and bring us to states of grounded clarity and focus.  We can learn simple techniques that come to us from both ancient practices and through the lens of modern sound and brain science to assist us in living lives of ease and vitality.

In this workshop, designed specifically for teachers and students who feel blocked in their expression, we will discover the authentic voice within and enhance the potency and power of our self expression.

We will learn about the healing power and medicinal uses of sound as well as specific instruction on how to use your voice as an aid to transformation and awakening.    We will break free from the stifling grip of the inner critic and focus on freeing the natural voice and allowing our innate creativity to break through and flourish!

Sound Healing and Our Quantum Connection
Randy Masters

With the exciting, multi-discipline discoveries of how our consciousness effects our reality, we are learning how we can use our expanding consciousness with our intention, activation tools and technologies to make Sound Healing even more effective, profound and life changing. The new technologies are built on the validation that all things are interconnected, and that sound and light are at the heart of the matter, and in fact greatly affect the behavior of matter itself.

Randy will present Key ancient Sound knowledge that activates and assists our connection to this subtle quantum world. These same activations can also assist in our way of life, both individually and with each other. He will explain why our cells are so receptive to Tuning Fork energy waveforms and we will together look into how the Divine Quantum Field connection moves us from a particle to a wave orientation bringing us higher resonance and coherence.

This presentation will share details of how researchers have come to understand more about how the Universe works at the deepest levels that highlight the power and importance of sound. We will look at how sound and light work together and are part of shaping and improving our reality. Extensive experiments and mathematical measurement into phonon behavior have led some researchers to postulate that even our thoughts create sounds inside our bodies and influence our own well-being. And surprisingly, they found, that these same thoughts can produce similar results in the bodies of those we think about.

To enable our Sound Healing and Quantum Field subtle energy experience, Randy has specifically designed new Tuning Fork activations that can also work alongside coherence measuring instruments such as EEG, EKG and HRV. As we become more proficient in using these Sound and Quantum Activations our personal coherence from our cells to our everyday awareness increases.

The guiding principle of fostering more heart-mind coherence through the understanding and application of harmonic principles is something that can be shared with everyone. It is open for all of us to move along this journey at any time that fits our busy lives, or our deeper spiritual paths. Join Randy to see how Sound Healing and the Quantum Connection could help your world.

Embodied Vocal Therapeutics

Sonja Drakulich

In this presentation we will experience the voice as a unique, powerful tool for sound therapy, the medicinal use of the human voice in healing, the purpose of singing in context of social bonds and community healing, an overview on trauma therapy and stress relief through the voice, practices to unveil the voice and to cultivate pure tone for sound, speech and song therapies and practices for healing the relationship ones voice and finding empowerment through sound. We will experience the expanding and refining of our voices through the most liberating vocal techniques and exercises I have found throughout the Eastern and Western world. The foundation of these techniques lie in the creation of pure, natural tone, discovering overtones, unveiling the full range of our voice, and discovering the healing phenomena of coherence through our voice.

Our body is our instrument, therefore alignment practices are included that create an open, clear channel for our voice and purest expression. We will strengthen and coordinate the breath, creating a strong foundation for our tone, balancing our nervous system and experiencing the spaciousness of our instrument.

The ancient and hauntingly beautiful songs of the Balkans and the Near East, along with many other ancestral lineages, with their powerful and delicate vocal ornamentation are offered in these classes. Collected over two decades of personal field research, they speak to a time of open communication between humans, animals, plants and minerals. In singing these ancient songs, we immerse ourselves into the wisdom and animistic ways of our great ancestors. We have the ability through song to not only to transform grief and blockages, but as well the unsung emotions of our ancestors, allowing this energy to be liberated into it’s essential quality of beauty. In immersing ourselves in these songs we can experience the unity within seemingly disparate lineages and cultures, and in turn, the unity within ourselves. The creative process of art, and specifically song, has the power to transform unlike anything else in this world. We only need to show up for this process and learn to open, while increasing our own consciousness. The foundation for our sound and expression lies in the increased ability and practice of sensate awareness and embodiment. In these times of being more isolated from natural world than ever before, many of us have unconsciously learned to survive slightly outside the body, and with gaps of presence of the form and function of the body. Practices for heightened presence, focus and expanding ones awareness are practiced along with the art of deep listening, refining our instruments as artists and humans thriving in creative potential. Our art is the end result of our depth of listening and acute sensing. Through experiential learning the dynamics of attention, we are able to bring awareness into the organization of the natural coherence of our body through sound and movement. Embodiment, and the skill of locating psycho-emotional sensory awareness within our greater field of awareness is fundamental to  somatic therapy within daily life as well as the expressive arts.

All of the songs and practices will be given in the context of expanding the singer’s range, breath support, vocal colors and textures. Here we discover our unlimited capacity of creative expression, deep healing and wholehearted joy.

The Healing Power of the Human Voice
How to harness the power of your voice to heal and be whole

Cynthia Zhai

Most people speak with their voices every day but few have paid attention to its impact, positive or negative, on others, and on themselves. Let alone realizing the healing power in their voices.

Voice is your identity. It reflects everything about you, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It broadcasts your past, present and potential. Listening to your voice, you’ll hear the whisper on where it is stuck, blocked and wounded.

Voice is vibration. It has the power to transform your life. When you’ve developed the optimum vibrational frequency of your voice, you’ll remove the blockages, heal your wounds and restore your wholeness.

“The human voice is the organ of the soul,” said Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

You could heal your past wounds, restore your body to its wholeness and develop your true self by changing the way you sound, your voice. You could raise the vibration of not only yours but also those around you by raising your awareness of the way you use your voice. You are in the center of the ripples, creating an impact bigger than yourself just attuning to the sound of your voice. That’s what you’ll find out and learn in this session.

Nature of Sound
Planetary Healing

Christina Wells

We are each directly interconnected with the natural world around us. So often, we look outside and see it as being separate. In this discussion, Christina will talk about how sound is the creation of all things, its relation to nature and the natural order, how it awakens the spirit and what indigenous elders are asking us to remember.

Sound is in everything. All your senses awaken as the ocean’s wave crashes down and the breeze caresses your face. You can taste the salt in the air and smell the seaweed that’s washed up on shore. In nature we discover connection, grounding, peace and health.

Yet, something feels out of place and fragmented when we see plastic floating in the water, diapers in the sand, and the river that flows into the ocean is filled with even more plastic. It doesn’t feel normal, somehow it feels wrong and out of place. It disrupts the harmony and balance that is experienced.

Life on this planet exists within the laws of the natural order. Naturally, we will experience disharmony and disconnection when the life around us is not respected. We are living in a time of great change. The Kogi Mamas from Columbia are frequently visiting the United States; just last year they did a ceremony at the birthplace of the atomic bomb. People from around the world are coming together to restore harmony on this planet.

How will you participate and create sound for the benefit of all our relations, yourself and this planet?

Water and Sound: The Divine Healers
Regina Murphy

Frequency in water could be the most efficient way to heal a bod. It is also possible that frequency infused music through bone conduction headphones is better. Because we are mostly water and water is Divine Intelligence, anything is possible. The Story of 7-year-old James, diagnosed with last stage Glioblastoma and Thomas J Dawson Jr, musical Director of the Commodores is in the 1% possible category.
