Paiste Symphonic Gong – 30″
Paiste Symphonic Gongs are works of sonic mastery. Their flat, scraped surface meets a dark rim that flows back from the face creating a unique shape. They are hand-hammered from nickel silver in the European gong-making tradition. They are not tuned but tend to fall within a certain range at a given size.
This style comes with the classic Paiste logo at the top of the face. The presence or absence of the logo will not affect the overall sound of the gong. In choosing, it all comes down to the overlap of your aesthetic preference and gong availability.
The lightweight metal, the unique shape, and the scraped face all combine to create an overall sound that is very clean and meditative, with rich, beautiful harmonics that expand over the deep fundamental tone.
